Fahrettin Fırat Gönen completed his B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Koç University in 2010, followed by an M.Sc. (2013) and Ph.D. (2017) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston. During his academic career, he conducted research at the Center for NeuroEngineering & Cognitive Science, first as a Scientific Researcher and later as a Senior Scientific Researcher, publishing multiple international papers on neuroscience and neural networks.

He returned to Turkey and joined Doğuş Teknoloji as Senior Data Scientist, later taking on leadership roles at Vodafone Turkey, Getir, and Allianz Turkey. Before joining GTech, he served as Chief Data Officer at Figopara, where he built and scaled advanced data and analytics teams.

He holds a PhD in Neural Networks & AI, is a 3x Kaggle Grandmaster (top 1% globally) and serves as a Global Data Science Ambassador for HP Z.

Fırat Gönen joined GTech as Deputy General Manager – Data Management, driving the company’s data innovation, predictive analytics, and digital transformation strategies across sectors.
